My Journey: Bali Day 4

2nd March,Fri-A bottle of Bintang beer gave me a good night sleep till 8am in the morning.As usual I went to the Bistro to have my breakfast and head to the hotel Spa for March Promo,Balinese Blissful Massage.Today the girl who are doing the massage for me are from Kintamani.The place that i planned to stay for my last night in Bali.She recommended me to stay in Lakeview hotel.The staff there once again lent me their computer to go online,booked my hotel and print out the voucher.Yes,I got the hotel room in promotion rate again!Hohoho~!My Angels really know how to save my money and give the Best to me.Hotel for Day 8 handled!

After the massage I checked out the hotel and head for Ubud.Somehow I have this thought of visiting Water Boom in Kuta.My guides told me it's not neccessary to visit there as I will only waste my time.I insisted to go with my way and paid the driver extra 50,000rph to just dropped by and have a look.We went through the traffic jam and when I get there I'm disappointed.There's nothing much for me to check out from the front of Water Boom.Well,my guides know what is best for me.Sometimes I just feel like it's fun to do things my way.This is a small matter so I think it's ok to play around but if I'm dealing with life changing decision,I'll surrender and go with my guardian angel's way.Dear angels,I'll be a good student.hehehe!^^

After an hour,here I am in Ubud.After searching for a while I've found my homestay-Jati Homestay.The walk way that leads to the homestay was so narrow that only motorbikes can access.I took a little walk and reached the homestay.The staff was preparing my room and I hang around the lobby area.I saw a few lizards around and I started to feel uncomfortable.Can I stay in this homestay for the next 3 nights?While I was worrying,the homestay keeper Putu came to me and asked me to visit my room.The room was really clean and facing the paddy field.My only concern was will the lizard appear in my room.Putu knew that I was uncomfortable with the lizards he popped out this question:"Do you want a swimming pool?"I went:"What?swimming pool?"I looked around and I did not see any swimming pool.Putu continued:"My boss has another homestay in Ubud,which is Jati 3.Do you want to have a look?It's a brand new homestay."Since I have a new offer why not I give it a try.Putu offered to fetch me over.We both walked towards his vehicle and I went No way!We are going to ride on a motorbike without helmet!With some safety concern and uncertainty I just surrendered and hop on his motorbike.It's Crazy!There were so many cars,motorbikes on the road,I just went Oh My God,Oh My God,Oh My God throughout the journey to Jati 3. It's not that far that i thought anyway.We reached Jati 3 and I just love this homestay.Everyone was busy with their own stuff,there were staffs that were doing gardening,doing their office work.I was amazed with the clean infinity pool in the homestay.I love the Balinese designed villas and rooms.Putu brought me back from my observation and he told me I'm so lucky that there is only a room left.We checked out the room and I said Yes.I asked Putu do I need to pay extra to stay in this room.Putu answered:"Forget it!My boss will pay for it.Just enjoy your stay here."I was so thankful to Putu and my Angels.Me and Putu we both sat at my room's balcony,I asked him where to go in Ubud and nearby Ubud.He wrote down in a piece of paper the name of the places.I popped out with this question:"Putu,Do u happen to know this 9th generation medicine man..."Putu answered instantly without me finishing my sentence:"Ketut Liyer?He stays in Ubud and it's just nearby this area."Bingo!My guardian angel asked me to read the book Eat,Pray,Love before I visit Bali and I didn't manage to finish it.They just gave me a clue-Ubud.True enough that Ketut Liyer does stays in Ubud.That means that I'll be visiting Ketut Liyer!Putu was so kind that he arranged my 3 days plan in Ubud.He arranged a driver at 300,000rph to fetch me the next day.

Once again I hop on his motorbike without helmet to Bebek Bengil(Dirty Duck) for lunch.Putu dropped me at the restaurant and headed back to Jati homestay to deliver my luggage to my new room in Jati 3.Putu was really a good man where he told me if I need transport in Ubud I can call him up at Jati's office and he'll come over to fetch me with his motorbike.Oww...so sweet!At that moment,I experienced that Balinese was really helpful and selfless.After finishing his sentence,Putu just drove off and this was the last time I saw Putu in my whole journey in Ubud.The restaurant was built so decently.There is a man made lily lake and a paddy field behind the restaurant.The bebek(duck) was so nice and crispy."Nice" price as well too though.I'll recommend people to try it out.

After my lunch,I walked my way to Monkey forest.I really love the natural environment and energy here.There were lots of monkeys all around the forest.I was very aware with my own belongings because I was told that the monkeys will snatch tourist's belongings and climb up to the trees.In order to get back the belonging,tourist will have to buy peanuts from the guard and trade the belonging back.Well,I'm over worried,till the end I did not see anyone's belonging was snatched,neither do mine.What I saw was some of the tourists bought bananas and the monkeys climbed over the tourist to grab bananas.I walked around and spent 2hours in the forest looking at the monkeys and talked to the local guards.I've been told that there are 600monkeys in the forest.How to identify good monkeys,bad monkeys,married monkeys,single monkeys etc.I observed Monkey's lifestyle in the forest.I saw how a mother take care of the baby,some were enjoying family life,monkey fights.I'm fortunate enough to see a live show of how monkeys make love and how do other male monkeys express their jealousy.One of the guard walked towards me with some fresh rambutans.The monkeys ran over to the guard,raised up their hands and gave him the "Please,give me one,please,please..." face.Everyone of them got their rambutan and I have 1 too.

After waving goodbye to the guards and the monkeys I walked myself back to my homestay.It's only a 10minutes walk and there are lots of shops to do shopping.While I was walking towards my homestay,I passed by this neighbourhood house.From far I saw there were 2 kids trying so hard to pull a puppy out from the gate.It seemed impossible to help the puppy.The puppy's head was stucked in between the gate and the floor.The puppy was crying out of pain.I tried lifting up the gate but it doesn't seem to help.I quickly prayed to the angels to please safe this poor puppy.Suddenly the kid's mom came out asking what's going on and we were distracted for a split second.When we focus back at the puppy,it's already free from the gate!Amazing!It's a Miracle!I believe that angels gave us their helping hands!What I realize was I can call upon for angels help with any situation.What I need to do is just ASK and angels will work out the miracles.

I reached my homestay and decided to take a swim in the pool.There was no one there and I did some work with the environment to charge and exchange energy.I allow myself to surrender and float in the water.I saw white lights spreading out from my body and I absorbed the energy from the environment into my body.After 10-15minutes the work is done.

I took a bath and it's already dinner time!Where and what to eat tonight?This cafe right in front my homestay's walk way caught my attention-Art Cafe.It's very nice decorated and I just fall in love with it.It's a very relaxing environment.I decided to take my dinner here and enjoy the live band performance till the shop closes.I went online with wifi and I found out that my friend Jelvy was in Bali too!This morning I just thought of her and I have a feeling that she might be in Bali.I got my question answered.Yes,she is.I just need to trust my intuition.My friend John commented in my Facebook status where he said in Bali,time is not working.I totally agree with him.In Bali,no one cares about what time is it and what day is it.This is what I Love about Bali.

10.30pm It was raining and the walk way was so dark.I called for Archangel Michael and my guardian angels to protect me.I can hear the frogs and it's so dark that I cant see the frogs clearly where I'm so afraid that I might stepped on them.It's really a very unique experience.The sound of the frogs here are like the yellow rubber ducky.Uek Uek...It's really weird and funny.It's very quiet in Ubud.I shield up my room with white light and added an extra semi white light shield to cover my bed.St.Germain stood at the left side of my bed and said:"Sarah,you are just so funny.You've shield up the whole room with whilte light and you know that we are here with you,you still add up with this extra layer."I replied,"I don't care,as long as I feel comfortable."St.Germain just gave me a smile on his face and I fell asleep.Zzz....

My Journey: Bali Day 3

1st March,Thu-Once again a beautiful morning where i prepared myself and visited the hotel Bistro for breakfast.I enjoyed having breakfast alone and today Angels brought some special treatment for me.The staff offered me sausages that was not in the breakfast menu.The restaurant does serve the best baked potatoes ever!Yummy!^^

Ketut picked me up at 9am and we started our Ketut village visiting trip.Ketut told me it will take 3hours.So i slept in the car.During the whole journey I kept ask him,how long will we reach?His standard answer was another 30minutes.My God,end up we took 4 and a half hours to reach his village.@.@

We stopped by a few spots before his village.2hours after we left the hotel,we reached the magnificent rice terrace-Jatiluwih!It's the largest rice terrace in the whole Bali.The scenery was really breathtaking.The weather was cooling and air was so fresh.Every breath that I took it felt like purifying my soul.

It took us another one and a half hour to reach Perkutatan Beach.This is my favourite black sand beach in Bali.The perfect match of black glittering sand,clear sky,blue sea and the white waves.It's not really well known as a tourist spot so the beach is really natural and clean without any activities around.It's the Indian Ocean.The waves were really strongly hitting and covering the rocks.The sea water just splashes and covering all over the rocks.Ketut drew both of our names on the sand and we took some photos there before we leave.

Wave goodbye to Perkutatan beach,we continued our journey to Ketut's village.Throughout the journey I saw a lot of Balinese lifestyle.Students walking their way home after school,women works together with the men to build houses etc.At last we reached Ketut's house.His parents were so welcoming and his dad went into the jungle to pick us some fresh coconuts.I asked Ketut about their life in the village.They built their house on their own.They have chickens running around the compound of the house.I can see tangerine tree,coco tree,coconut tree,vanilla tree,salak tree,banana tree,papaya tree,mango tree and many more fruit trees around the house.When they do not have any food,they will pick these fruits to fill up their stomach.If they want something else to eat,they will sell off the fruits or chickens in the market and use the money to buy their food.What shocked me the most is that the family ate "Kijang"(Monkey) before.Ketut told me it's the best Kijang soup ever!My God!@.@..I saw there were 2 birds in the cage.Out of curiosity I asked Ketut how did they catch them.He told me the whole story.This is how they catch the birds.First they will walk into the jungle and listen carefully whether there is any bird chirping or singing.After confirming that there were birds around,they will walk back to their house to grab a cage with bird inside it and go back to the spot.They will climb up the trees and place the cage on a strategic spot.Then they will grab a stick,apply "lengket"(Super Glue) on the stick and place it beside the cage.They will hide somewhere where the birds cant see and wait till the birds to appear.When the bird in the cage started singing,it will attract the birds around to come close to it.Once the bird rest on the stick,Gotcha!The bird couldn't free itself from the stick and at this point of time,the hunters will appear and bring the bird home.They uses oil to release the bird from the stick and place it inside a cage,continued by feeding it with banana.Different birds they sell at different price.They sell one yellow bird at 100,000rph which is around RM34.I saw this green bird and I asked:"how about this?"Ketut replied:"Kaya already!Rich already!We can sell at 1Million rph!"It's about RM340.To them,they can survive for a few months with that money.I reflect back RM340,in many cities people might spend it for 2weeks,a week,5days,2days or maybe in an hour.They were so happy with the 1Million rph and they thank God for this gift.

What I realized was God provides sufficient for everyone in this world.Although they are poor but there are food around their living place.If I were to live in this environment will I survive?My answer was Yes.I realized that it's the conditioning that human gave each other that we are insufficient in many aspects in life.We need a career that provide us bigger income,higher position,bigger house,bigger car,branded handbags,we need more and more.There is no right or wrong answer,at this point of my life I really experienced that God do provide sufficient for everyone.I am the one who is defining whether I have sufficient or insufficient.I Thank God for providing me all I need and all human kind's needs.God gave me more than what I need.I'm really grateful to God.This is one of the lesson that i treasure most in this Bali journey.

Next stop we went to Gunut Bolong.We drove through this tree bridge where 2 trees collides.We called it off a day and we took our 4 and a half hours journey back Seminyak.I slept through the whole way.That's how tired I was.I had my last walk in Seminyak and bought a Bintang beer for the night.Before heading back my room,I dropped by the reception counter,asked for the receptionist's help to call up and confirm my Ubud room for the next 3nights.I had a great chat with the Duty Manager and the receptionist.It was a Wonderful day with Beautiful scenery and people.

My Journey: Bali Day 2

29th February-This date only appears in every 4years.I'm so into my holidays until I do not remember what day is today..Tuesday?Wednesday?Thursday?This sounded like a good news to me where at last I can live my life without knowing the date and time.Anyway it was Wednesday.

I woke up when the sun rises.I got myself ready and went for my breakfast.The restaurant staff were really friendly,polite and nice Balinese.The supervisor is from Ubud and he gave me a lot of information for my stay in Ubud.After a Nice breakfast, I went for Spa and Massage!I'm so fortunate to enjoy the February Promotion-Shirodara Spa and Massage with 50% discount on the last day of February!The guy who told me about the hotel with dolphin came back to me when i visited the hotel spa.I made up my mind and booked my Day 7 hotel room with Melka Excelsior Hotel.The staff allowed me to use their computer to handle my bookings online and printed out the voucher for me.Everything just went smoothly!Day 7 Hotel settled,Now,Spa time!I really enjoyed the Balinese full body massage.It's so relaxing.It was my 1st time trying out Shirodara where they continuously drips aromatherapy essential oil on my third eye for 15minutes.It was really warm when it dripped on my forehead.As a clairvoyant I saw very clearly in my mind eyes the whole process of third eye cleansing.I felt like I had a brand new third eye when the process ended.The Spa session ended with Herbal Flower bath.I'm like dipping myself in a flower pool~Wee~~^^..I Love the ginger tea that they served with a piece of cookie.



I was in my relax mode until the clock caught my attention.It's 12pm already!My driver is waiting for me at the reception area!Oh No!I rush my way to the reception area and i saw this guy facing back to me with a black cap,black T-shirt,dark skin sitting on the sofa.The bell boy went:"Miss Sarah,this is your driver.He has been waiting for u since 11.30am."The guy turned his head and said:"Hi,Miss Sarah!"He's a young Balinese,23years old,nice,polite and shy.His name is Ketut.You'll be seeing his name quite often because he's my driver,body guard,photographer,meal buddy,travel partner,my student and a dear friend of mine in Bali.I'll share with you how did all of this Great things happen.Ketut told me that he's still learning English and he's not fluent in speaking English.I encouraged him to speak as much as he can and I'll be practicing English and teaching him with Malay translations.Fate brought both of us together to have the maximum Fun in Bali!

First stop we went to Ku De Ta beach and Petitenge temple.Ku De Ta beach is a place where it's nice to chill and have sunbathing.After a few photo shots,we proceeded to Seminyak's Famous Warung Made(Ma-De) for lunch.Although it's the 1st time me and Ketut met each other but i insisted that he have his lunch together with me because I get the chance to try out 2 dishes instead of 1.(That's how demanding I can be..Hehe!)We ordered Nasi Campur,Friend Rice and we shared the food.Something caught my attention throughout our journey,which is Bakso carts.The cart looks the same,they sell the same food and they seem not bothered by whether there will be competition among each other.There was this 1 straight 500 meters road with 4 Bakso cart.I came out with this idea of calculating how many Bakso carts we can see along our journey.Here we go,1..2..3......

We reached our next destination-Dreamland Jimbaran!It's a Beautiful white sand beach!I just love it!But is was really very very Hot!We continued our journey to Padang-Padang beach and we stopped by Ulu Watu temple.Amazing Seaview from the cliffs.There were monkeys all around the place.Check out the complete version of photos in my facebook.A picture speaks a thousand words!We visited Geger beach next and they are building the largest hotel there.

We reached our last stop at Jimbaran beach for the famous sunset.Before walking into the much more affortable Melasti Restaurant I took my Bakso dosage!Me and Ketut we both ordered only coconut and coca-cola.We got the front sit for sunset.While waiting i pick up a flower and place it on my ears just like Balinese does.I did my sand artwork and kicking the sea water.Ketut started to learn how to snap nice photos with my camera.We fooled around till the sun set.It was really Beautiful.Ketut caught a photo with a dolphin inside!Check out the photo below!I visited Jimbaran before on November 2011 so i knew how overly priced their seafood is.So we just paid for our drinks.We chit chat throughout the Macet(Traffic Jam) and get to know each other more.Ketut described his Kampung life and I asked him whether can I visit his Kampung the next day.He was so welcoming and just said SURE!We end our journey with total number of 29 Bakso carts!Bare in mind that we started calculating after lunch.To me,Bali is like a Bakso land.Haha!

I reached the hotel and went to the spa to collect my flowers for my own night time flower bath.In the morning,the staff told me that it will cost 50,000rph but ended up the night shift staff gave me the flowers for free.Although is was a long day but everything went smoothly and I enjoyed myself with my new friend.I'm anticipating for tomorrow's Bali Village day!YEAH!I am so grateful to my lovely dear angels that make it a wonderful Bali Day 2!

My Journey: Bali Day 1

28th February,Tuesday-My Dearie dropped me off at LCCT and I started my solo journey.Superb Excited yet nervous.My Journey-Eat,Pray,Love in Bali!Love=Love Myself!

When i touched down Bali,I took my time to fill up the forms and cards that are required at the counter.When i walked out from the departure hall,I walked around and cant find my name on any of the guest boards.The hotel did not arrange my transportation as they promised in the email!Grrr..I started feeling grunchy and asked my Guardian Angels why they are making this trip so hard for me when they asked me to be here.After letting out my grunchies "Amadae" caught my eyes.That was the hotel that I suppose to stay for the next 3 nights.The hotel staffs were there to pick up other hotel guests.They arranged another driver to send me to the hotel.While on my way to the hotel,I saw "Satay Biawak"!People who really likes challenges,you may try this Satay!

After 20minutes ride,I've reached the hotel.I love the environment and the staffs were really friendly.I don't get it why the confirmation of reservation,the missed out airport transfer would happen but anyway i just explained the whole story to the Duty Manager.He is really polite and he sincerely apologized.He offered me free transport when I checked out from the hotel and free upgrade to Pool side Deluxe Room.So Thing happens for a reason.If all these did not happen,how can i have all these privilege?

The room was really Big,Clean with a huge bathroom!I just love my room.I went for a complementary massage in the hotel spa.One of the staff suggested some places to visit in Bali.What caught my curiosity was I can swim with the dolphins in one of the hotel in Singaraja.He said he saw a promotion banner in Kuta.He'll get back to me the next day when i come for the massage appointment.Wow!Swimming with the dolphins~Wee~~^^

The hotel staffs were really helpful where they provided a map for me and shows me where to go and how to get there.Walked along the streets in Seminyak and found Bakso(Beef balls with glass noodles)!That was the Best Bakso that I have tasted throughout the journey.It's only 5000rph which is around RM1.70 for a bowl!I done some shopping and finding my way to Warung Murah for some local food.After walking for nearly 15minutes I still cant find the Warung.When I was just about to give up,St.Germain urged me to raise my head and check out the restaurant's name.Warung Murah!I'm here already!I've tasted their Soto Ayam and Ayam Bertutu.Nice!I really felt the fulfillment in my heart where i really spent time with myself.ME time!

After my dinner I went back to the hotel.Well I got to start planning for my Day 2 trip.So i asked the receptionist about the hotel's daily driver service.It was 550,000rph!Expensive!I decided to find a driver on the street the next day.I requested 2 mineral waters and the bell boy who was standing beside us will be sending it to my room.Before I walked into my room,the bell boy asked me am I finding for a driver.I answered Yes and he told me that he has a friend who are a driver.He charge at 400,000rph.Well,cheaper than the hotel but I remembered when I was in the plane the guy behind me mentioned so loud that he hired a driver at 350,000rph.So i counter offer the bell boy at that price.After half an hour he called me at my room and offered me 375,000rph where he highlighted that his friend can speak English.I took the offer and that's how i got my driver!I started to believe that things will eventually fall into place and My guardian angels will send those people to my door step!That Easy!hehe!^^

My Journey to Bali:How did the whole journey started~

This is my 1st spiritual trip in my whole life & I'm travelling alone!The process from how did i booked my flight to completing my trip..it's really an unbelievable journey!

1 day in the beginning of February,my guardian angels asked me to check out AirAsia website.I was so curious why did they ask me to do so.I followed the guidance and clicked on AirAsia's website.1st thing I saw was Bali Promo!check out the dates & 2ways from KL to Bali is only RM366!I need a clearer clue whether is it true that they want me to visit Bali.They directed me to read the book that i'm reading during that time.I grabbed my book and my guardian angel said "The answer lies within this book."After reading about 10pages,i saw "Chapter 8 Archangel Raphael is a Travel Angel..if you are travelling alone do call upon this angel to protect you throughout the journey..".It's a very strong YES!I surrendered & bought my flight tickets without knowing where to go in Bali & what to do there.

Since I've bought my ticket,I planned to plan my journey and routes in Bali.Eventually thing does not go with my way.Tried a few attempts and I couldn't book the hotel that i wanted.I only managed to book the homestay in Ubud.Time is ticking and i haven't have a plan.I was really panic!I used to plan things ahead but now i just got to surrender and learn how to go with the flow.

10days before my Bali Trip,I got my 2nd Bali trip clue.That day I was way behind my schedule to get back to Penang so I decided to pay my Dearie a visit in AsiaWorks office.I met up my friend Denise in the office & we decided to have a tea session together with Cariel.3 of us-The Charlie Angels visited Bali before and both of them highly recommend me not stay in Kuta but Seminyak.On the same day while I was on my way back to Penang,my guardian angel whispered beside my left ear :"check out Groupon."I click on Groupon website and found a new deal for Bali.I scrolled down the page and checked the address: Seminyak.I bought the voucher and saved up 50% for my 4D3N stay in Seminyak.

Via Email I communicated to reserve my room with the hotel side,there were some hiccups during the whole process.I did not get my room reservation confirmation until a day before my Bali trip.I started to doubt that I would survive the 9days in Bali.The journey started so tough with so many hiccups & uncertainty.I only get 2 hotels booked & that's all I've prepared for the trip.I do not know where to stay for the last 2 days in Bali,where should i go in Bali,will I have enough money to survive in Bali,will someone kidnap me,who will be my driver,who's going to be my tour guide etc.That was all my doubts & fears.I surrendered all my worries,fears to my guardian angels where I know that they will take good care of me throughout my whole trip.I just packed whatever is necessary and prepared only RM2000 cash for the trip,which is around 6million rupiah.(The last trip on November 2011,5D4N I finished my RM1000 within 4days and I don't understand how am I going to survive with only RM2000 for 9days..when i realized this fact it's already midnight of 28th February where all the money changer had closed.)

Well,that's all that I can do for now.Pray for the Best for my Bali trip!
